Emre Sokullu is a regular writer and analyst for Read/WriteWeb. He is also the founder of San Francisco based social
groupware startup, Grou.ps. Update: Emre Sokullu joined Hakia, as a Search Evangelist, in March 2007.
Prior to Grou.ps, Emre co-founded Turkix (Turkey's Red Hat) and led the local efforts of the Apache Software Foundation in his native Turkey. He is also known for his open source works, such as SimpleKDE - a window manager based on KDE. Emre was originally a Machine Translation and Artificial Intelligence researcher. He holds 2 USPTO pending patent applications and worked on the Wordnet Project in Princeton University Cognitive Sciences Labs.
